Neurology

Dr. med. Manio Boris Ritter von Maravic and his wife Dr. med. Caroline von Maravic are from Berlin, Germany. They moved to Spain in 2002 after years of achieving clinical experience at the University Hospital Lübeck and the Klinikum Erfurt in Germany. Founders of the Neurologic Unit of the former USP Hospital Marbella (actually Quironsalud Hospital) of which Manio v. Maravic was head of department until they decided to leave the hospital in 2016.

Manio von Maravic then worked as a visiting Doctor at German Neuroscience Center in Dubai. Now he receives patients exclusively for the specialized Unit for neurologic Botulinumtoxin-Treatment in Marbella. He is not longer available as a general neurologic consultant.

Caroline von Maravic does not hold the title of specialist but due to having been working in Neurology for three decades, she is very experienced in treating patients with neurological diseases such as headaches, vertigo and dizziness, back pain, sleep disorders, cognitive déficits and dementia, cerebrovascular diseases and stroke, epilepsy and Parkinsons disease.

Complementary Tests:

• Vascular Ultrasound of the brain supplying arteries and high resolution ultrasound for peripheral nerves.

Follwing tests will be arranged in colaborating entities:

• Neurophysiologic assessment (EMG, ENG)
• EEG
• Evoced potentials (visual, auditory, sensitive)
• Polysomnography
• Lumbar tap
• Análisis of LCR and blood MRI and CT Scans
